Australian Scholarships – Australian Awards 2021-2022

Online applications for Australian Scholarships are now available. In the long term, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade provides education for the Australian Awards abroad scholarships. 

According to bilateral and regional agreements, they seek to meet the needs of Australia’s partner countries. These programs offer full-time undergraduate and postgraduate study options for people residing in Asia and the Pacific region at participating Australian universities and technical colleges. 

Australia Awards Scholarships provide individuals with a chance to gain new skills and advance their knowledge, thereby contributing to the development of their home countries.

Scholarships for Australians 2021 Benefits

Scholarships for Australia Awards are offered for the duration of the course of study. Higher education institutions in Australia specify such requirements, namely preparatory training. Generally, the following benefits apply:

• There will be no tuition fees
• Air travel to and from Australia – a single economy-class ticket in economy class that takes the most direct route.
• Normally, there is a set amount for accommodation expenses, books, or study materials.
• Living Expense Contribution (CLE) – a fortnightly payment for basic living expenses at the rate determined by the department.
• A prerequisite for formal academic studies as an international student, the Introductory Academic Program educates prospective participants about living and studying in Australia.
• In terms of medical coverage, OSHC is provided for the duration of the award (but not pre-existing conditions).
• For students taking English classes in-country or in-Australia on an in-country or in-Australia basis, pre-course English (PCE) fees are available.
• A scholar may be eligible for additional academic support to ensure academic success or enrich their academic experience.
• Increasingly, research students may have the opportunity to undertake fieldwork in their country of citizenship or in Australia (for research awards or coursework MScs that have a research component).

Australian Scholarships 2021 Application Process

• Please assure that you should know the exact dates of opening and closing.
• In order to find your country, you just have to check the list of participating states and get information about the requirements.
• Further, you will see the opening and closing dates of scholarship on the countries page that are participating.

Several countries allow online applications, while others do not require hard copies. More information about participating countries:

• The Online Australia Scholarship Information System (OASIS) provides information about scholarships. The only thing you need to do is answer a few questions before you are considered for this scholarship. You will receive a registration number, username, and password.
• Your application should not be submitted immediately. A draft application form is available on the profile page of each participating country along with supporting documentation.
• It is not possible to change your application once it has been submitted. In case of any difficulty, we are here to assist you. Applying online well in advance of the deadline is advised since OASIS has a busy schedule just before the deadline, so applicants may have to wait.

Applicants who are unable to submit their applications:

• If you are not comfortable submitting the online application, then you can submit them by mail. Just look at your participating state profile for information to get to know about the hard copy application and templates. For Instance, reference letters, etc.

• If you want to apply, you should complete your application forms within the deadline with your country.
