• The candidate must have exceptional academic performance.

For Scientific scholarships:

• This scholarship is open to international and Portuguese students alike.
• University of Porto students in the bachelors, masters, or doctoral degree programs may apply.
• Research should be the candidate’s concern.

For Other support:

• Applicants must come from a particular country or region to be considered.
• Applications are given to the students from the Portuguese-speak African (PALOP) countries of Angola, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, S. Tomé, Principe, and Mozambique.
• Bachelor, master, or doctoral programs may be applicable for students at the University of Porto.
